For the second year in a row Business Week is doing a poll of the best apps on the web. When I took a look at the poll there was no category for e-commerce apps. There was only an ambiguous “buying and selling” category which listed Amazon, eBay and Craigslist as options.
Since Business Week says that they encourage “write in” suggestions, I suggested a category for hosted e-commerce and if enough people suggest the same category, they may add it. Even if you’re not a Shopify user it would be great see hosted e-commerce as a category in this poll. You can view the poll here and you can make suggestions here
