Content Lead - Shopify Plus

We are looking for a talented marketing lead to help expand Shopify Plus’ content strategy including our blog, resources, social and multimedia content. The goal will be to find ways to leverage content throughout the funnel to increase awareness, convert leads and enable our sales and customer success teams with the right content. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, people and project management skills as well as a deep knowledge of how to leverage content for growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a team of creative, content oriented folks including writers and producers
- Identifying and prioritizing areas where content can be used as an impactful lever for growth and mobilizing the team to take action
- Working cross-functionally with teams to collect feedback and identify high-impact opportunities
- Deep understanding of what it takes to make content successful including SEO, copy, distribution strategies, user experience and conversion.
- Ensuring that all content is created with the customer in mind and is aligned with Shopify Plus positioning, messaging and branding
- Measuring, optimizing and reporting on the performance of the content team
You’ll need to:
- Be genuinely excited about the potential for content for our audience
- Be a storyteller at heart, always prioritizing the customer’s experience
- Be able to motivate a team to combine a compelling story with the information people need
- Be creative and an excellent writer, but also be process driven so you can push projects and teams forward
- You want to understand your (and your team’s) impact on our funnel and be able to iterate based on this information
- You have experience using data/analytics to measure the impact of your work
- Be open to failure, and do things you might not be good at
- Work well with stakeholders from multiple disciplines
- Be a problem solver
It’d be great if you had experience with:
- Past experience leveraging content that focused on lead generation
- Past experience in a B2B environment working with a sales team
- Demonstrable experience growing an online audience
- Knows how to measure content, proficient in GA
