About the role

You will be actively selling our SAAS product (Software as a service)' to Retail business across Germany.

Our growing team of Retail Sales Executives works directly with brands to develop their in-person commerce strategies — whether that is starting or expanding their brick & mortar operations, adopting in-store tech (like Shopify POS) that accelerates growth or supporting a temporary retail pop-up. We are merchant obsessed and driven in our goal to see entrepreneurs and brands selling in real life succeed!

Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively reach out to potential merchants via phone or email, establish trust and bring value 

  • Lead demos and presentations to passionate entrepreneurs looking for new solutions for their business

  • Build and manage a pipeline of retail leads from prospection and cold calling to negotiation and closing

  • Create a new way to sell to retail businesses in UK, Ireland and other countries in EMEA

  • Discover new business opportunities through hustle and creativity

  • Be Shopify’s ambassador in the point of sales & payments industry for your market, keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends

  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives and KPIs

  • Report accurately and forecast your business in Salesforce

  • Provide merchant insights and feedback to our Product teams

Qualifications

  • Native German speaker 

  • 2 year + experience in managing full sales cycle achieving quarterly revenue objectives in SaaS

  • Comfortable in cold-calling and video-calls, and ready to use tools such as Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator to increase volume and maximize your conversion rate

  • Ability to accurately forecast and are able to proactively manage your pipeline

  • High energy, self-directed and an impressive work ethic

  • Passion for achieving impact and results (with a track record to back it up)

  • Enjoy talking to people, understanding their unique business goals and needs, and helping them grow their business with Shopify’s products

  • Are hungry to help build a startup within a leading tech company

  • Love getting better each day - trying new things and iterating — all at a lightning fast pace

  • Are eager to collaborate internally with smart colleagues to build the best tech for our merchants 

Bonus
