Are you passionate about connecting creators, commerce and culture in order to stimulate communities and economies?
As the Creator Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for bringing to life the Creator & Influencer go-to-market marketing strategy and tactical plan. By working with the US East Integrated Marketing team, you will define and segment who this audience is, their challenges, and opportunities with the objective to get more Creators & Influencers on Shopify.
You must have a curious, investigative, and persistent spirit. You can create where nothing exists. You are a self-starter and can bring internal teams and stakeholders along with you. You thrive in ambiguity and can be the first mover within a business when it comes to pitching concepts and ideas on how to reach this unique audience.
You have strong marketing chops and expertise on how to leverage content and social media to engage with Creators & Influencers, as well as the communities they're a part of. You have a pulse on the local zeitgeist of our key markets, including Atlanta and NYC, and the ability to identify the creators who align to Shopify’s values, and be able to connect this to an integrated marketing strategy and plan. You’ve worked in marketing, specifically content, social, and/or integrated marketing so you have strong acumen on storytelling and how to bring this to life in cross-channel campaigns (IRL and digitally).
Your mandate is to support bringing to life how we market to and convert Creators & Influencers onto our platform.
Perform qualitative and quantitative research to better understand the Creator and Influencer segment with a US-wide and local US East view
Support building the annual, quarterly strategic marketing goals that align to US East business goals
Responsible for supporting the development, creation, and execution of an integrated marketing plan to reach Creators and Influencers in a hyper local way (city level).Identify and work directly with Creators & Influencers who are rooted in key US East Cities
Work with Corporate Creator Program leaders and business development managers on how to approach GTM as One Shopify but with a regional spin
Maintain a pulse on local zeitgeist and which Creators are having a meaningful impact on local communities. Ability to present these Creators as potential partners to the business and why.
Identification of community-relevant brand and public sector partnerships
Compile data across all various media platforms and create reports, including analysis for insights, optimizations and future strategy development.
Manage the communication of how the Creator program and GTM is performing, offering insights on where and when to pivot.
Deep knowledge of the Creator segment, and how to leverage this group to authentically connect their community/ies and Shopify together to drive business growth, entrepreneurship, and independence
Passionate about connecting commerce and culture as a way to stimulate communities and economies
Intermediate level understanding of marketing and social media channel nuances and the ability to monitor the latest trends
Curious about testing and experimenting when it’s right for Shopify.
Intermediate knowledge of social media content and design (both planned and live production), and how to leverage as a platform for authentic engagement
Extensive verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft great copy and convey complex concepts simply.
Ability to present compelling new content ideas to key stakeholders and execute production plans.
Strong relationship building skills and the ability to operate in a highly complex business.
Extensive analytical, planning, and organizational skills: ability to report on organic social results and evaluate media performance to drive insights and future decisions.
Camera, design, video, and media production skills i.e. Videography experience, working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, etc.
