We are currently looking for Staff Data Scientists to be part of our new visual attribute extraction technology called Deep Tagging. 

Deep tagging is transforming the online shopping experience by enabling image and text-based product understanding,  leveraging Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and deep learning technologies that mimic the way customers think about products.

As Staff Data Scientists on this team, you will get the opportunity to push products and business forward, focus on solving important problems and get to experience an opportunity to become an AI expert in the ML Computer Vision and the Deep Learning space. 

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of commercial experience in a data science role solving high impact business problems

  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas - CV, NLP, deep learning or artificial intelligence

  • You have a well-built technical experience that inspires individual contributors’ creativity and innovation. 

  • You feel comfortable designing and training  Deep Learning models for object detection in images/ image classification/ text classification 

  • You have experience with product leadership and technical decision-making.

  • You have been working closely with various levels of business stakeholders, from c-suite and down.

  • You can jump into the code on a deep level but are also able to contribute to long-term initiatives by mentoring your team

  • Multiple work streams excite you, you are able to use ambiguity as an opportunity for high-level thinking

  • Experience creating data product strategies, data products, iterating after launch, and trying again.

  • Extensive experience using Python including a strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) fundamentals

Great if you have:

  • Previous experience using Spark

  • Previous experience working with MLFlow

  • Previous experience using Ray

  • Experience with statistical methods like regression, GLMs or experiment design and analysis.
