To help our merchants sell wherever their customers spend time online, we have developed integrations with the highest traffic online destinations or marketplaces, including Facebook, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, eBay, Walmart Marketplace and more.
The Marketplace Partnership PMM Lead will own the GTM and growth of this portfolio of partner integrations with the goal of helping merchants reach and sell to more buyers. This is a people leadership role with several direct reports.
We are looking for a bright, passionate product marketer who also has experience with partnerships and co-marketing. You’ll need to have a growth mindset, have deep empathy for merchants and customers, and be excited to roll up your sleeves and dig for the solution to a complex problem.
Develop a clear and compelling narrative for this product area by understanding merchant and partner needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive forces.
Lead a team of product marketers to bring new partnership products to market and grow adoption, ensuring merchants are getting value from the products. Your team will need to:
Define the go to market strategy to enable successful product launches and growth campaigns by working cross functionally with the partners and our Product Management, UX, Engineering, Marketing, PR, Support, Data and Revenue Operations and Sales.
Create strategies to drive product success through all stages of the merchant adoption funnel from awareness, adoption, through to advocacy
Help influence the products we’re building through deep market analysis, competitive research and merchant/partner feedback. Collaborate with product teams to optimize product elements that boost user engagement and alleviate product issues and gaps.
Run A/B tests to optimize user messaging strategies and quantitatively test hypotheses pertaining to acquisition and engagement strategies
Identify KPIs, set targets, and analyze the results of product launches and growth efforts against those targets
Communicate effectively and often to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned
Extensive experience in product marketing, partner marketing, product or a customer consulting role
The ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet
Experience driving bringing new products to market and driving product growth
Experience leading a team
Experience working with an in-house creative team
Excellent communication and organizational skills, while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details
A resourceful attitude and positive negotiation skills — you'll be working with a lot of different teams across Shopify as well as with external partners
Experience working in ecommerce or the tech industry - it's important to understand our platform and the products we deliver
Experience using Shopify or any ‘like’ eCommerce platforms
Experience using data/analytics to measure the impact of your work
