About the role

As an SFN Solutions Engineer, you are a crucial link between what we offer and what our merchants are looking for. As we design and build SFN, we’re taking into account the many intricacies that make our merchants unique and that’s where you come in.  Think kitting, SLAs, warehouse systems, APIs, branding, data and a whole lot more.  It’s your job to understand the big picture from the perspective of Shopify and then apply that to the individual needs of our merchants.  It’s a job that requires exceptional communication skills, a ton of empathy, a fair amount of technical knowledge and most of all, the strongest desire to help our merchants succeed.

It’s a role that will have you talking to both internal teams within Shopify (pre and post-sales) as well as the merchants we represent, in order to provide those merchants with an exceptional warehousing and fulfillment experience.

Getting more granular, here’s the sort of thing you’ll be doing if you join this team:

  • Vetting all deals on their operational and technical merit culminating in an approval for pricing or regrets
  • Working with Operations, Product, the merchant and all other pertinent Shopify teams to bring confidence to every deal
  • Continuous improvement on all aspects of our role and the overall growth of our product offering
  • Mentor the sales team on best practices, features and requirements while maintaining the knowledge management database as an owner
