About the role

To drive our expansion across EMEA, we are searching for an exceptional Sr. Account Executive to join the Shopify Large Accounts EMEA team. Your mission will be to facilitate strategic growth for large accounts (+ 20M online) in Italy. You will work closely with the Country Manager, Marketing and the Italian sales team, including the big CSI and Plus partners, to drive specific initiatives aimed at establishing the Large Accounts segment in Italy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales revenue through new client acquisition within some of Italy's most exciting brands.
  • Actively manage the sales process, including positioning, presenting, and demonstrating Shopify, and closing sales.
  • Build and manage a book of business through outbound prospecting and inbound opportunities.
  • Identify each client’s unique needs and cultivate effective sales strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, fostering partnerships, and driving marketing events and initiatives to enhance your pipeline.
  • Work one-on-one with a sales development representative to create a go-to-market strategy for new prospects.
  • Achieve sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in technology sales specifically in the Large Accounts/Enterprise segment in a closing role. Experience in eCommerce and retail is a plus.
  • Demonstrated and tenured experience in full and complex sales cycles, preferably within a technology or software product environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Italian market and a well-established network in the eCommerce enterprise brand sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales with all stakeholders, ranging from business and IT to mid-level and senior executives. Consistent success in a fast-paced, high-growth sales environment.
  • Proven experience orchestrating multiple internal resources to fortify sales initiatives, resolve merchant problems, and successfully close deals.
  • High comfort level with acquiring deep technical product knowledge and becoming an expert in Shopify's offerings.
  • Driven, results-oriented individual with a growth mindset
