About the role
The RnD Discovery team accelerates time to impact for new hires in R&D through a world-class onboarding experience focused on teaching product knowledge and discipline-specific technical depth.
We are looking for someone to join us as a Technical Facilitator. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality instructor-led technical learning experiences that create real impact for learners. You’ll do this through planning, teaching, and assessing learning online to new hires in data, development, user experience, and product. You’ll also be responsible for supporting and coaching new hires 1:1 as they learn the foundations of their role and start having an impact at Shopify.
Please note this role will be fully remote. We are currently looking for someone who can work in the EST timezone and someone who can work in PST timezone. Please indicate which you would prefer.
If you are passionate about great teaching and learning for technical audiences, let’s talk! We would love for you to join us to push boundaries as we define the future of technical onboarding at one of the world’s fastest growing tech companies.

As a part of your application, please submit a 2-4 minute video where you teach us something - anything at all - using whatever tools and techniques you see fit! You must be featured in this video and play the starring role as the teacher or trainer. If you already have a video recording of yourself teaching something, feel free to provide that instead of creating something new! Please email the video using a link (vs a downloaded video).
We know that applying to a new role takes time, and we really appreciate your submissions! We're looking forward to learning more about you. The application window will remain open through Thursday October 14th.
