I always dreamed of having my own clothing line, and as a 17 year old during my senior year of high school last year I began to work to launch my own company. After designing, producing, and styling our merchandise I wasn't exactly sure what steps to take next. Finding Shopify was an absolute lifesaver, from the moment my site launched last June - it looked professional and functioned better than I ever could imagine.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

It took a lot of patience to start to see some sales. At first it helped to share the company and site with others by word of mouth. When you are running an e-commerce site, it can be sometimes challenging to get attention with so many competing sites already out there. What helps is branding our company on social media through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

The great thing about Shopify, is all of the apps to integrate into your store to make things run smoothly. One of my favorite features is working with Propeller, an app on the Shopify store that creates a mobile application for customers to download. We also use the Facebook Store app, which allows people to view our products and drives more traffic to our store. We ship and package everything ourselves, and what is great about using Shopify is how easy it is to track and fulfill all the orders. Things like simply entering the tracking number for orders which automatically sends an email to our customer makes things so much easier!

What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?

Use Shopify and all its resources. The tools and help you can get from this website can help your online business to grow and succeed beyond what you could have ever expected. Be patient with sales, work hard, and it will all come with time!
