How it works
STEP ONE
Build development stores for your clients
In the Shopify Partner Dashboard, you can create development stores which allow you to test any themes or apps you create, as well as set up new stores for your clients.
STEP TWO
Transfer the development stores to your clients
By September 30, 2025, the transfers must be done and your clients must select the Basic, Grow, or Advanced subscription plan.
STEP THREE
Stores need to remain active for at least 90 days
The stores must remain active, not be password protected, and reach a minimum of $1,000 USD in sales by December 31, 2025. See offer terms and conditions below for more details.

Yes, this offer is a one-time reward that is in addition to the monthly recurring commission of 20% of the merchant's subscription fee that you earn through the Shopify Partner Program.
Terms and Conditions
You are eligible to receive one of the following rewards based on the number of development store referrals you make between May 27, 2025 and September 30, 2025:
• $750 USD for 3 referrals
• $1,400 USD for 5 referrals
• $3,000 USD for 10 referrals
To qualify for the reward, the following conditions must be met for each development store referral:
1. The stores are built through a development store in the Shopify Partner Dashboard between May 27, 2025 and September 30, 2025.
2. Your clients must select qualifying subscription plans (Basic, Grow, or Advanced) and make their first payment by September 30, 2025.
3. The stores must be set live, accessible, and not gated by passwords by December 31, 2025, and must achieve a minimum of $1,000 USD in sales by December 31, 2025. Merchants must meet the minimum sales requirement of $1,000 USD, considering only trusted (non-fraudulent) payments that are processed through Shopify or its partners. This excludes cash payment methods, such as cash-on-delivery.
Additional Details:
Eligible partners who meet all of the above criteria will automatically qualify to receive the corresponding reward based on the number of successful referrals made between May 27, 2025 and September 30, 2025, provided their referred merchants meet the required $1,000 USD sales minimum by December 31, 2025.
This promotion is exclusive to select Shopify partners only. Only those partners who have received the offer communication directly from Shopify are eligible to participate. Please allow 2 - 4 weeks after December 31, 2025 for the payout to appear in your Partner Dashboard.
Self transfer or self referrals are not eligible for the offer.
