Now you have created all of these gorgeous pages. It's time to make sure that your customers can see them. We're going to edit our navigation. And when I say navigation, I'm referring to things like the header menu that you can see at the top of the store, as well as the footer menu on the bottom. To edit your navigation, just go to your online store section in the Shopify admin and click navigation. Here, you'll see main menu and footer click main menu, because we want to edit that first.
You can already see home and catalog as two pages that are linked to from the main navigation, maybe change catalog. So it sounds like something a little bit more contemporary. I like products myself. You can also keep catalog. It's a matter of personal preference. To add your new pages, click add menu item pages, and then about us. That's the page you just created.
And Shopify will now automatically link to it from your main menu. Go through the same steps with the contact page and the FAQ page. Now to work on the footer menu, go back to navigation and click footer menu. The footer of a store is usually where customers go when they want to look up policies, like the ones that you created earlier. So here, add these policies as menu items, click add menu item, and then start with your shipping policy, for example, and just go down the list. You created all of these policies.
Why not share them with the world, make sure to save all the changes that you made and then feel free to preview your store. It's really cool because now you can see that you not only have home and catalog, but a lot more options and a customer coming to your store would feel more trusting of your store because they know they can find essential information about your brand, about how to contact you and about your policies. With these trustworthy elements in place, it's time for the last step before you go live.
In the next lesson we'll go through a prelaunch checklist together. We'll go through a lot of little details that you need to have in place, but don't worry. I'll be here to explain everything and you'll leave no stone unturned before you go live.
