It’s time to launch your online store. Right now, by default, your website is password protected, so customers don’t accidentally visit or buy from you while you’re still building. Now that you’ve created the first version of your store, it’s time to remove the password page and launch.
I say “first version of your store” because it’s important to remember that you can constantly change the design of your online store even once it’s live and you have regular visitors. Every great e-commerce website is constantly evolving. Remember done is better than perfect when you’re just getting started.
So get that first version done and launch it. Let’s launch together. In the admin go to “Online store,” then go to “Preferences.” Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see “Password protection.” Remove the check mark that says “Enable password.” Click Save to finish.
That’s it. Your store is live once you’ve removed the password page. Get feedback from the people that you trust. Ideally they will be the people who are your ideal customer. As you start marketing your business. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your customers for feedback. Congratulations on officially launching your Shopify store.
In the next lesson, I’ll show you how to sell with sales channels.
