And second, on that phone, you'll need to download the Instagram app. Third, you'll need a Shopify store. You can start on Shopify for free. Click the link below to sign up. And lastly, a Facebook page, which, again, is entirely free. I've added another link below to show you how to start a Facebook page.
It takes two minutes. Launching these pages won't magically attract people, so it's OK if they're unfinished. It's just important to have them so that we can integrate everything so it all works together. I'll share more on this later. What I'll go through now with you is setting up your Instagram business account. It's important to set up a business account so that you have access to analytics that help you make educated decisions on growing your business.
At this point, a business account doesn't affect your engagement. It's a more transparent way of communicating with your audience your brand, and in turn helps you define your niche and attract the right followers. An Instagram business account is free to set up, and it's easier to turn an existing account into a business account. Once it's set up, we're going to optimize your profile and make sure that you're taking advantage of everything Instagram has to offer.
Your Instagram profile is like a second home page to your website, so it's important that you spend the time to do this right. If you don't already have an Instagram account, do that now. Once you've set up or if you already have an Instagram account, go to the Settings section. Then you'll find an option Switch to Business Account. There we go. It's that easy. You'll only see a few minor differences to a personal account.
Like I mentioned before, what matters most is that a business account offers more analytics so that you can learn about your followers and make better decisions.
