Now you understand the different Instagram shabby features that you can use in your strategy. There are a few eligibility requirements. Now first, you must be located in the supported market. There are nearly 50 countries on Facebook.
List of supported countries. So make sure that your location is on the list before getting started. Second, you’re going to need to have an Instagram business profile. Third your business must sell physical goods that comply with Instagram’s merchant agreement and commerce policies. So double check that one. And finally, your business profile
must be connected to a Facebook catalog. This can be created and managed on business manager directly on your Facebook page, or you can do it through Shopify or an e-commerce platform. Now let’s go through both of those options. Option one is to use Facebook catalog manager. This is Facebook inventory platform
where you create and manage catalogs that hold items that you want to advertise and sell. This is kind of like the do it yourself manual method. You can either create a new catalog or connect to an existing one within catalog manager. Now keep in mind, if you want to use product tags and stickers you’re going to need to choose
an e-commerce catalog. The second option is to use a Facebook partner like Shopify before you get started. You’re going to need to have the Facebook sales channel, which is included in all Shopify plans that are paid installed on your Shopify store, which creates a shop tab on your Facebook page that then displays your Shopify
products. Once you do this, you can easily add Instagram sales channel to your Shopify store. But heading into your Shopify admin and clicking the plus button beside the sales channel heading next on the ad sales channel dialog, click Instagram and then add channel going to log into your Facebook account page to authenticate your Instagram account in the sales
channel. Once Instagram sales channel is installed, you can enable the feature by visiting shopping under the business settings in the Instagram app. And that’s it. Once you’re all set up, it’s time to connect your shop to Instagram. Once your Instagram business account and your catalog
are connected. Head over to the Instagram app to sign up for shopping. So first, we’re going go to your profile settings tab business. And then Instagram shopping Follow the steps to make sure that everything is all good to go. And then you can submit your account for review. Once you do this, your account will be reviewed by Instagram
before you can access the shop of all Instagram posts feature. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days according to Instagram. Once you’ve been approved, you will receive notification from Instagram and then you can complete your setup in shopping under Settings in order to start tagging products in your posts and stories. And while that’s pretty much it.
So now that you’re set up to shop. You can start adding product tags and stickers to your Instagram posts and your stories. So let’s start by creating a post as usual. And then we’re going to tap tagged products to add a product from your catalog. You can feature up to five products per image or video posts and up to 20 products on carousel posts.
You can also go back and add shopping tags to old posts on your business profile. So that is a good tip. Stories can feature one product sticker per story.
