Once you're at a point where your images are ready for your website and your store, that's awesome. But there are also some other really good places that you can be using these images too. It doesn't just have to stop at your store. You can use these images on your Instagram, your Facebook page, anywhere else that you would like on social media, and a ton of other things, too. You can be using these for your general in-feed posts to show off your products. Maybe you can share some lifestyle images.
Or maybe you want to use these to run some social media ads as well. It's really important to think about this also when you're taking your photos, maybe you want to take some extra ones just to use for a particular purpose. For example, if you want to run an ad on Instagram or maybe it's through Facebook and you're targeting mobile devices, that image will have to be a portrait image. So it's a vertical image. You might want to leave space above your image or maybe below your image to put some text.
Keep these things in mind and it's just something that you'll learn as you go. And you'll start to realize the opportunity that you have when you're taking these photos. Another use for these images, instead of just your store, might be that you want to use it for a header image on your website, or maybe it's the cover photo for your Facebook page. These ones are usually a landscape or a horizontal image. So you want to take your image sideways. Keep this in mind when you're taking your photos because Facebook crops your image quite thin and your website might do a similar thing.
That's going to vary depending on your website. This is something else you can think about when you're actually taking your photos.
