Aloé Swimwear is an Australian business that makes seamless and reversible swimwear.
Using soft, buttery fabrics and use of seamless construction has allowed Aloé Swimwear to push the envelope in the design department by allowing us to offer 1 swimsuit with 2 different visual designs... all on one premium cut, well-fitting swimsuit!
The seamless technology allows the swimsuit to look and fit exactly the same, regardless which way you decide to wear it.
What are the key factors that have helped your store be successful?
Our high-demand suits are currently only available through our online store, so it is extremely important that our social media and marketing are as strong as the site itself. We are on top of all aspects of these elements on a daily AND hourly basis to ensure that no query or 'stone is left unturned' with our customers. This allows them to be interactive with our brand and 'family' and gives them a chance to be featured as part of our story.
It's really all about starting small and growing with the business itself. You can't decide to open a store and have everything handed to you, you have to learn to take in criticism, grow from praise and never take no for an answer, keep pushing, keep growing and don't be afraid of failure.
What are your top recommendations for new store owners?
Find the most successful person you know and bring them to lunch! I've learnt that successful people thrive off helping people like us. It may cost you $50 but it will be the best $50 you've ever spent. Be prepared, write notes, go in there with an open mind and let go, don't, for one minute hold back... I promise you that the wealth of knowledge and ideas which they give you will enable you to foresee a bigger picture and really open your eyes to a million different avenues which you never knew existed...
