This April, we’ll be hosting Unite, Shopify’s partner and developer conference in San Francisco.
Running from April 20-21, Unite is our annual opportunity to spend time with the community helping us build the future of commerce.
And while we’re thrilled to welcome our partners and developers from around the world, we realize that not everyone has the same means or opportunity to attend.
In an effort to add perspectives and voices to our partner community that we’d otherwise miss, we’re launching a program called The Shopify Unite Fund.
Shopify Unite 2018
Tickets for Unite 2018 are sold out! In the coming weeks, we’ll have more information on how you can take part virtually in Shopify’s third annual Partner and Developer Conference, running May 7-9. Sign up for updates on how you can participate remotely.Sign up
We want to hear your voice
We'll be awarding two individuals airfare, accommodations, and a ticket to Shopify Unite.
Are you a designer or developer looking to help build the future of commerce? If you live in the United States or Canada, and are a member of an underrepresented community in tech, or are unable to attend Unite for financial reasons, we want to give you the chance to attend.
We're accepting entries until Monday, April 3, 2017. Selected attendees will be contacted via email by Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
What we’re looking for
If you’re interested in applying to the Unite Fund, be ready to answer the following question:
How do you want to build the future of commerce? What does that mean to you?
Get creative. Links to videos, gifs, Google Docs, and blog posts are welcome and encouraged. Keep in mind: we're much more interested in your ideas than your production budget or word count.
Applicant selection will be based on creativity, passion for commerce, and entrepreneurial spirit. In addition, financial status and those who identify with underrepresented communities in tech will be considered.
We’ll email the winners by April 5, 2017.
We can’t wait to build the future of commerce with all of you.
