The holiday season is coming, and online retailers are gearing up for it in a big way. The holiday season accounts for between as much as 40% of a retailers’ total annual sales, according to the National Retail Federation. About 66 million shoppers bought stuff online on Black Friday last year. That day, Walmart’s website got 53% of its traffic, some 400 million pages viewed, on smartphones and tablets.
