ESTJs as entrepreneurs

ESTJs make for proactive, realistic, and highly organized entrepreneurs, excelling at things like event planning and task management. They have an emotional side, but they trust their logic before anything else.

Leadership also comes easy to ESTJs, as they know when to speak and when to listen. Plus, thanks to their extraversion, they engage and socialise with their employees in order to empower them.

Their love for leadership can sometimes produce different results though. ESTJs thoroughly enjoy being right, and hate to be proved wrong. This doesn’t bode well for employees or coworkers who go against their prescribed way of doing things.

Furthermore, ESTJs are known for being judgmental, blunt, and insensitive. It’s worth an ESTJ’s time to keep a mental list of non-confrontational responses to be used in times of strife. By expanding their vocabulary to convey inclusivity and positivity, the ESTJ will naturally begin to come across as a more tactful boss and colleague.

Since ESTJs value order and structure, it’s recommended that they start a business that employs a structure that they are already familiar with.

“Whether you're a programmer or a seamstress, it's all about new techniques, simplifying old techniques, and consolidating steps. Making things go faster – but not worse.”

Martha Stewart, ESTJ
