As an American manufacturer, It is important that we distinguish ourselves with eye catching designs and careful craftsmanship.
We started with a single product, the Lemon Ball baseball and slowly added additional sports balls to our product line. We are inspired to use the sculptural qualities of sports balls as a vehicle to showcase fine and beautiful leather. But Leather Head Balls are not happy sitting on a shelf, they're designed for the rigors of outdoor play.
What are the key factors that have helped your store be successful?
One thing that contributes to our success is that we occupy a universally appreciated, but narrow niche. As leather craftspeople, we chose to focus very narrowly on leather sports equipment. With little competition, we are free to focus our energy on our craft.
What are your top recommendations for new store owners?
Our design sensibility is minimalist, so we chose a clean web-site design. Great photography and minimal distractions allows the beauty of our products to stand out.
