llovi was born to disrupt an industry ruled by synthetic chemicals and cheap fillers.,

My first experience in the beauty business was several years before Ellovi, as an online distributor for many of the big cosmetic brands. I came to know that almost 2,000 ingredients are banned in Europe, while only 12 are banned in the US. The majority of the big brand products contain ingredients that are toxic. I knew I could do better, so I began formulating moisturizers with ingredients that are pure enough to eat , and I became passionate about creating a better alternative.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

We launched Ellovi by sending samples of Butter to hundreds of bloggers. The response was incredible. We were getting rave reviews, and people were directed to our website to purchase the product. Shopify helped us track all of our sales, and set up discounts and promotions that we could advertise on blogs. Currently, Shopify is our primary sales channel.

Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

We use Shopify to process all of our web sales. We have our store set up to accept Paypal, and bitcoin to ensure a convenient checkout process.

We ship out of our own warehouse in Oakland, CA.

What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?

Build relationships with bloggers. They will play an essential role in building your brand.

Offer exceptional & personalized customer service.

Don't neglect SEO & social media.

A few repeat customers are often more valuable than hundreds of customers. Treat them like VIP's.

Take advantage of Shopify's built-in app's to track your sales.

Provide a simple, and easy to navigate checkout process.
