Introduce your business and tell us your story: How did you decide on what to sell, and how did you source your products?

We have kids of our own and thought about how great it would be for them to have cool, comfortable clothing. There's not a lot out there for boys, so we started there and then moved into making unisex. We buy our fabrics and materials from the United States but everything is handmade in our own homes.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

Social media (more specifically Instagram) is a business's best friend. Mobile and retail are now generating the most traffic and sales for us.


Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

Facebook store is definitely a great one. We've added Product Reviews but haven't had much of a response. We do all of our packing in-house and mail with our local post office. We usually have our orders filled within one week which is abnormal for the online business. Most are a 3-5 week wait.

What are your top recommendations for new store owners?

Definitely social media is something to get the word out easily; use hashtagging, giveaways, discounts.
