Try to create cohesion and continuity between your loyalty program and the other techniques that I've brought up throughout my lessons.

Making a real effort to cultivate a solid loyalty program is a fantastic way to incentivize repeat business, as well as raise your customers' social media engagement. There are numerous tools available that incentivize customers to engage with your company socially to earn points they can put towards promotional discounts or free products. Stay in tune with your post purchase funnel branding strategy wherever possible and consider offering more than just points to be used for purchases by creating loyalty membership tiers.

The benefits here are pretty clear. People tend to gravitate towards incentive, but you get the added value of not diluting the value of your products through constant direct sale based promotion incentives. It changes people's perception of potentially cheapening the brand when they earn it. I encourage you to take the value and incentive you provide to your customers to reward their loyalty and continued purchasing very seriously.

You run the risk of letting your loyalty program fall flat on its face if the value you provide as an incentive is substandard. Keep them hungry to become a loyalist. When you think brand loyalty programs, don't just stop at giving them points towards promotions or free merchandise. Build out loyalty tiers with extra added benefits for hitting the next level, and push them to make that purchase to get awesome perks.

And then more importantly, if you're providing high level of worth with your tiers, make them rearn the tier status each year, like an airline club model. Of course, don't let their points expire, or it'll backfire. But encourage them to keep coming back year after year.
