Welcome to the final module of this course. I'm so glad that you've made it through. And in this module, I want to welcome you through analytics in postscript and how to use analytics to optimize your text marketing strategy. So let's jump into my computer here. And the first thing that I'm going to do is walking through the dashboard. So on the dashboard here you can see a few things. So you have data points about how many new subscribers you have.
And you can filter by the last 30 days seven days or even today you have how many responses you've received and how much total revenue you've earned. And because we have a couple of automation to live right here, we can see how many people have received the welcome series. How many have clicked how many have ordered and how much revenue are you earning per subscriber. Now, the next thing that I want to walk you through is analytics.
And as you grow your brand you're going to see all the data come through here. How many people have opted in and which opt in mechanism that they use to opt in did they use the desktop pop up. Did they use the mobile pop up. You're going to be able to see that here. You're going to also be able to see what the revenue generated for each specific option looks like, what the unsubscribe rate looks like and all that cool stuff would be right here.
Now the purpose of automation. The purpose of automation and analytics is to help you optimize that data. So if you're seeing super low click through rates where you can do here is change up the call to action maybe send him to a different product page promote different products. But you're going to be able to have that data here in order to optimize.
Now I to jump into the last campaign that we were working on, which is the black Friday campaign. And when you send out these text messages although you have analytics from postscript what I recommend is also using a second layer of analytics called Google campaign. URL your team tracking codes, and you can get to this website by looking up campaign you are a builder. There's going to be the first, URL that you're going to be able to see and what we can do here is by adding these different tags to our URL is in it.
Send This data to Google Analytics so that we can also track the same data that we have in postscript and Google Analytics as well. So this is more for brands that are fast going they're using Google Analytics and they want another level of tracking. If that's you then. This is perfect for you. So we're want to do here is add a campaign source. Now the campaign source here is going to be text because we're sending a text campaign medium is going to be campaign since this is a campaign and the name of the campaign is going to be black Friday.
And typically, I like to stop right here. But you can add on more stuff if you'd like. And what you want to do next is copy the final URL right here and head back to postscript we're going to go back to edit this campaign by clicking here. And all we have to do is replace this you are out now. It's not going to change anything when it comes to what your customer sees that they're going to receive that same text message.
But that you are all going to have that extra level of tracking that you're going to have to know that you're going to have access to when it comes to tracking and Google Analytics. And once you're ready, click save and send that campaign. And that's how you use Google your team tracking codes to add that second level of reporting to your text marketing strategy. Now Like I said analytics is a very important part, because if you're not looking at analytics how can you optimize your text campaigns.
