[MUSIC PLAYING] Hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs from over 175 countries trust Shopify to sell their products. Entrepreneurs have sold more than $34 billion in products since the company started over 10 years ago. We chose to use Shopify for Jaswant's Kitchen because it was really easy to set up and they had an initial free trial period where we were able to set up our site and make sure that it worked well for us before committing.
We also love that they provided such great support along the way. Their phone support was so valuable when we were setting up our site. We were able to call them 24/7 with any questions that we had. Prior to using Shopify, we hired contractors overseas to create a website for us. But each time we wanted to update it, we had to pay them to do it and they would often take a couple of days to update even simple things, like an image, because they had other things that they were also working on.
We realized really quickly that there would be a lot of changes that we needed to make to the site. Given that our products were changing and where we sold them was changing, we often wanted to update images or story. So Shopify made sense from the ease of use and price side of things. I could quickly go in and make changes myself, and there was a simple and low monthly fee to pay. Even if you don't have a tech background, you'll be able to add your products and descriptions and story and create a website really easily.
I was able to create our site over a weekend. And as you grow, there are so many additional functions and apps available to help you grow your business, like a retail store locator, a customer reviews app, and one that helps customers refer their friends. It makes it really easy to enhance our website over time and meet customer needs. Shopify is now the leading commerce platform design for small and medium-sized businesses.
Whether you sell online, on social media, in a store, or out of the trunk of your car, Shopify has you covered. In the next module, we're going to get right into how to get your product ready to sell and how to find loyal customers. [MUSIC PLAYING]
