The SE team includes Solutions Engineers, Solution Architects, Demo Engineering and Retail/POS specialists – all working together to push our organization forward. About The Role

As a Partner Solutions Engineer for the Reseller Programs, you will play a pivotal technical advisor role for our reseller partners. You will collaborate closely with the partners to understand their unique requirements, provide in-depth technical knowledge, and guide tailored solutions to drive their business growth with Shopify.

This role requires a balance of business acumen and technical skills across relationship management, strategic insights, sales support, technical architecture, integration, and security expertise to foster strong reseller relationships and enable program success.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in solutions engineering with eCommerce platforms, particularly within reseller or partner-driven environments.

  • Proven expertise in architecting integrations and delivering scalable technical solutions for a diverse portfolio of partners.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Proficient in API technologies, including REST and GraphQL, with experience in cloud-based and SaaS environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.

  • Experience working in a team-selling environment, providing expert technical advice in pre-sales and implementation phases.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible insights for diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proven track record working with commerce customers as a Presales Engineer or Solution Architect.

  • Experience working with partners in a presales solutioning capacity.

  • Expertise in unified/omnichannel commerce, Shopify, regional specific commerce applications, ecosystems, and integrations.

  • Solid understanding of Commerce related concepts such as headless, SEO, POS, and omni-channel.

  • Familiarity with development lifecycles, version control systems and development environments (git/Github is an extra plus).

  • Knowledge of Shopify platform, business, and structure to drive decision making.

You’ll: 

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for reseller implementations, from initial setup through full integration.

  • Provide deep technical knowledge about our products, including capabilities, limitations, and integration with other systems.

  • Support the business development process by providing technical presentations, demonstrations, and addressing technical inquiries. 

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions, demonstrations, and workshops to empower reseller sales and technical teams with the knowledge needed to effectively sell our products. 

  • Provide strategic consulting to resellers and assist resellers in designing and proposing tailored solutions based on the end user requirements 

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance, diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during sales or implementation processes.

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with resellers, serving as a trusted advisor and partner.

  • Synthesize and convey feedback from resellers and customers to inform opportunities for product improvements and feature development.

  • Travel as needed for onsite assistance, partnership development, and industry events.
