Hot on the heels of Stripe coming out of beta, we're proud to announce support for accepting payments on your Shopify store through Stripe! Stripe handles the full stack of payment processing without requiring you to have a merchant account or gateway; all you need is a bank account with one of their supported banks.

We believe that enabling transactions on the web is a problem rooted in code, not finance, and we want to help put more websites in business. Complexity and opacity have traditionally been hallmarks of online payment processing. We want to fix that."

At the moment they are US only, but they’re working on supporting other countries. You can signup to be notified when Stripe is available in your country here: https://stripe.com/help/global
