Check your inbox for a “Complete your Smiirl account registration” email and select Activate my account to create a new password.
It may take a few minutes to receive the email. Please check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
Pair device
Once logged into your Smiirl account, click on Install on the My Counters page.
Enter your unique Counter ID in the space provided and select Save. It’s located at the back of the Counter and in the user guide.
Connect to your internet network
Choose your preferred internet connection (Via Wi-Fi or Via Ethernet), then follow the guided steps on the Smiirl site to connect.
Plug in your Counter and select your preferred internet connection (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet) on Smiirl. Follow their remaining guided steps to connect.
Connecting to the internet takes a few minutes. When connected, all flaps will go from blank to striped.
Find your unique Counter identifier and token
Once connected to your network, a confirmation screen will appear. Select Link My Counter to link it to your Shopify Store data. You can also go to the My Counters page and select Settings for the selected Counter to begin this step.
In your Counter Settings under “YOUR DATA - JSON URL”, select Options, then select Push Number.
Find your Counter’s identifier and token. Keep this tab open, you’ll need these numbers to install the Shopify Counter App.
Instructions for existing Shopify Counter users transitioning to the new app
We have rebuilt the Shopify Counter App from the ground up for a more seamless experience. If you were using the app prior to March 2025, please follow these instructions to upgrade to the new app by June 30, 2025 in order to maintain service and improve functionality as the original Shopify Counter App will retire on this date.
If you are using the original Shopify Counter App on your Shopify Display, the device will remain supported until the original app retires on June 30, 2025. Our technical partner, Tidbyt, has been acquired and will stop manufacturing it. Therefore, the new Shopify Counter App does not support Shopify Display, and we do not recommend upgrading.
