Mastery
Twice a year, we run our ~Mastery cycle, Shopify’s performance review. We assess your skills, your craft excellence, and the resulting impact on the mission. Achieving higher ~Mastery is a promotion at Shopify, and when you earn a promotion, your total rewards increase. Every six months is a feedback loop with an opportunity for a promotion.
Agency
You’re in control of your compensation mix. Your Rewards Wallet puts a single slider in front of you: cash-forward on one end, max equity on the other. Slide where it makes sense for your goals and risk tolerance*. Model scenarios across 3, 5, and 10 years to see how your rewards could compound over time.
Flexibility
