The total cost of Shopify POS is a combination of your plan, transaction fees, and POS Pro locations.

Your plan is the foundation for your account. It gives you access to point of sale, online sales, payments processing, marketing, analytics, shipping tools, and more.

Your transaction fees are a percentage automatically debited from each sale made through Shopify. Transaction fees will depend on the plan you choose.

POS Pro is the subscription for your retail locations. It gives you access to advanced POS features such as staff, inventory, and customer relationship management at select locations. We recommend POS Pro locations for businesses that have a lot of foot traffic, multiple tiers of staff, or a large inventory catalog. Shopify POS Pro is an additional 89 $US USD/month billed yearly for each location.

There are a few things businesses need to set up a new POS. To start with Shopify POS, you'll need a smartphone or tablet and a Shopify card reader.

Casual in-person selling features are included with every Shopify paid plan. With what's included, you can take in-person payments, capture basic customer information, and accept limited returns and exchanges.

POS Pro is the upgrade for your retail locations and it costs 89 $US USD/month/location. On POS Pro, you get advanced features designed for businesses selling from a permanent retail location.
