Shipping in Canada just got better and more affordable. You can now ship your domestic orders with UPS through Shopify!
Adding UPS to the platform brings our merchants new shipping services, flexible options, and more savings. Merchants fulfilling orders from Canada can now buy discounted shipping labels from UPS—right in the Shopify admin.
Our merchants will benefit from some of the lowest domestic shipping rates in Canada with savings of up to up to 76% off UPS Standard®, 62% off UPS Express Saver® and UPS Expedited®, and enjoy avoiding fuel surcharges*.

UPS Shipping Canada FAQ
Can I ship internationally with UPS through Shopify in Canada?
UPS shipping through Shopify in Canada covers domestic shipments only, so it can't be used to send packages internationally. Discounted rates and label printing apply strictly to shipments moving within Canada, meaning a different carrier or service is needed to reach destinations outside the country.
Are UPS package pickups available for merchants shipping from Canada?
Package pickups aren't offered with UPS shipping through Shopify in Canada, so parcels need to be dropped off instead of collected. Merchants can bring pre-labeled packages to any of the many UPS drop-off locations across the country, making it simple to complete a shipment without waiting on a scheduled pickup.
What happens if a UPS package shipped from Canada is lost or damaged?
A lost or damaged UPS shipment from Canada is covered by insurance included with every purchased label, up to a maximum of $100 CAD. File a shipping claim through Shopify Support as soon as the issue is noticed, since UPS requires notice within 60 days of delivery, or within 60 days of the scheduled delivery date for missing packages.
What items can't be shipped with UPS from Canada?
Certain items can't be shipped with UPS from Canada, including regulated products such as tobacco, alcoholic beverages, dangerous goods, and lithium batteries. UPS also doesn't support PO box addresses as either the shipping origin or destination, so a physical street address is required on both ends of the shipment.
What days does UPS deliver packages in Canada?
UPS delivers packages across Canada from Monday to Friday, with no standard weekend service in most areas. UPS Standard deliveries are available on Saturdays in certain metropolitan areas, giving businesses in larger cities an extra delivery window each week.
How do I set up a return address for UPS shipping labels?
The first time a UPS label is purchased through Shopify, you're prompted to set a return address that UPS uses for any rejected or returned shipments. This address takes priority over whatever return address appears on the label itself, so keeping it current matters. To update it later, contact Shopify Support with the new address.
