Brands don’t live on a single URL anymore.
Between your social channels, apps, marketplaces, and content—not to mention your online shop—your brand works best when it lives and thrives on multiple platforms.
That’s why link in bio tools have exploded in popularity, especially for businesses and creators. These tools, such as Shopify’s Linkpop, Linktree, or Lnk.Bio, let you curate a list of links on a custom landing page with a simplified URL.
What are link in bio tools?
Link in bio tools allow you to create multiple links from the one clickable link space on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
The phrase “link in bio” comes from a long tradition of brands and creators placing links in their profiles, since Instagram and TikTok don’t allow links in captions. In order to provide a link associated with a TikTok or Instagram post, you can either swap out the link in bio every time you post, or use a tool to consolidate them.
Since swapping out the link in your profile constantly isn’t a great experience for you or your social media manager), link in bio tools let you create a custom landing page where you add multiple links.
Linkpop is the only link in bio tool worth using
Shopify’s Linkpop offers big advantages over other services, combining the usual link organization capabilities with ecommerce features. This is important because having an online audience or business means you’ve built an ecosystem.
It’s not rare for a creator to simultaneously be running a Facebook page, an Instagram profile, a TikTok profile, and perhaps even a YouTube page or Twitch stream. Maybe you also have content on a blog, a newsletter, or a landing page you’ve worked really hard on.
With Shopify’s Linkpop, you can take the guesswork out of deciding what link to highlight on various bios on your online profiles. Linkpop is that one place where your audience and customers can find you, every place you are. It’s also a way to highlight products and categories on your Shopify site so customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
Whether you’re looking to elevate your social media presence or convert your followers into customers, Linkpop is the perfect link in bio tool that can double as a sales channel. We know this because customers are more than twice as likely to buy from a shoppable website link on Linkpop compared to other link in bio tools.
Why you should choose Linkpop as your link in bio tool
Linkpop is the winning option for those looking to turn audiences into customers and there are so many reasons creators, brands, and influencers love it.
1. Create multiple links for free
It’s completely free to start a Linkpop page to curate your top links. You’ll need a Shopify account to get started, but you won’t need to be on a paid plan. You can use it to highlight websites, blogs, playlists, and more. Once you’re ready to feature and sell your products online, link your Shopify store to add purchase buttons and make your link in bio shoppable.

2. Make a custom landing page
Unlike Instagram or TikTok, Linkpop lets you customize your page to match your personal style. Choose colors that match your branding, select a font that complements your content, add a logo or social media icons, and more. You also get to choose your own custom URL, like linkpop.com/mystore or linkpop.com/themostawesomestoreever.
Linkpop was super fast and easy to set up. I love how it will elevate our customers' shopping experience from Instagram!
Once your free page is set up, you can start curating your selection of unlimited links. Feature new products, sale items, your latest creations, or links to your inspirations—anything that you want to share with your audience. You can even add your favorite Spotify playlist, latest podcast picks, or trending YouTube videos.
You’re also not limited to one page—you can go ahead and create additional pages for all of the online identities you manage. Linkpop includes up to five accounts, which is perfect for social media managers, people maintaining more than one brand, or even those who just want to keep their personal and professional web presence separated.
3. Keep commerce in-app with shoppable bio links
Every business needs a swift and efficient checkout process and Linkpop provides that with great ease.
Linkpop’s biggest advantage for entrepreneurs and creators is shoppable links for your bio pages. Integrate your products directly onto your Linkpop page and customers can shop without even having to visit your website. Every shoppable link includes a Buy It Now button, bypassing the cart and allowing your customers to buy in just three clicks thanks to the power of Shop Pay.
If you’re using Shopify, your entire catalog of products will be automatically available to add to your Linkpop. That adds a whole new sales channel before a customer even visits your store’s website. And since Linkpop is powered by Shopify, your customers will enjoy a fast and secure checkout experience that is already trusted by millions of merchants around the world.
Linkpop has become a must-have in all our bios for social - the added option to have product pictures has helped drive sales.
To start using shoppable links on your Linkpop page, you can get started with any Shopify plan. Our Starter plan, at $5 per month, lets you jump straight to selling, without a brand or website. Simply add a product or service and share them on Linkpop—or anywhere you engage with your audience—and you’re ready to go.
4. Share your Linkpop landing page across platforms
Linkpop is a one-stop-shop for your audience to find all your social channels. Linkpop is compatible with all of the major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn. Use it as your Instagram bio link, share as part of an SMS campaign, or even feature it on your YouTube page.
Linkpop seamlessly connects with your Shopify store and provides full media support for both YouTube and Spotify. And while social media is the main place you’re likely to be sharing, you can also use Linkpop in email, text messages, and anywhere else you can paste or type in a URL. So basically, it works everywhere. At the top of your Linkpop landing page, add links to your top social platforms, like an Instagram link, TikTok link, or link to your YouTube page.
Linkpop makes it easy to share my blog posts and products in the same place in an organized fashion! It’s made a huge difference for my business.
You can also use our QR code generator to add your unique URL to a QR code. Then all you have to do is print the code on stickers, flyers, posters, billboards, or anywhere else you want to attract customers and build interest in your offerings. People who see it can scan it with their smartphones and start shopping right away.
5. Get data-driven insights
Knowledge is power. The more you know about how your visitors are interacting with your content, the better. That’s why Linkpop gives you free analytics tools that let you learn from the behaviors and choices of your visitors.
Linkpop can tell you how many people have visited your profile, what links they clicked, and how many clicks you got per visit on average. You can even graph sales over time to see which months are your money makers. Other link in bio tools typically require a premium membership to provide detailed analytics like these.
When you understand the data behind your audience, you can adjust your tactics to capture more attention, build a following, and make more sales.
How to make your link in bio with Linkpop in 5 steps
To get started, go to Linkpop.com, sign in with a Shopify identity, and connect your Linkpop with your product catalog in one click. If you don’t already have a Shopify store, you can create one for free.
Once you’re in, you can get to the fun part.
Step 1: Set up your profile
First, claim the URL for your Linkpop, which will be linkpop.com/yourname. Once you’ve chosen the name, it can’t be changed, so choose something simple, like your store name, or your name if you’re a creator.
You’ll also set a profile picture, which could be your logo. Then, select your profile name and write a brief description for your business. For consistency, use the same bio you use on social media.
Once you select “Create profile,” Linkpop directs you to this page:
Here, you can connect your Shopify store if you have one, embed music or videos, add affiliate links, and link to any other websites you’d like.
Toggle over to the Style tab to customize the look of your Linkpop page to your brand’s fonts and colors.
All your changes will show in a mobile-sized preview on the same page. Remember to hit Publish to save your progress.
Step 2: Add your social channels
Toggle to the Bio tab and scroll down to link to your various social media channels.
When you populate these fields, each site’s icon will appear on your Linkpop with a link to that page. There’s also an option to link to a Shopify store from one of these icons.
Take a look at how Paper Cloth Plus set up its icons, with links to its shop, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter profiles.
If you want to draw attention to a particular social media profile, you can link to it again in the Links tab. We recommend including the social media app’s icon again to make it clear where that link will go.
You can also use the Links tab to build a link to a particular social media post, such as a popular TikTok or YouTube video, to highlight it.
Step 3: Add your store link
Although there’s an icon for your shop link, it’s a good idea to add it in the links section as well.
In the Links tab, you can create a button link to any URL or to any product in your shop. You should start with a link to your shop’s homepage, but you can also get more creative than that by adding links to things such as:
- Individual product categories
- Sale pages
- Seasonal items
- New releases
Jack & Bo, for example, included links to its Play collection, as well as to new arrivals.
You can judge what to include based on what your top selling categories are, or look at your shop’s metrics to see which categories are visited the most.
Step 4: Add product links
With an integrated Shopify store, you can add buttons for each individual product you sell.
It’s not a good idea to include everything, but you could choose to highlight:
- Your top seller
- A product you’ve recently posted on social media
- A new product
Sugardoh, for example, has its core product—classic sugaring paste—front and center, so it’s one of the first things a customer sees when they open the brand’s Linkpop.
Again, with Shop Pay, customers can select a product and check out in only a few clicks.
Step 5: Get creative
Links to your social media profiles, store, and products are all items you should definitely include, but you can think outside the box, too.
Consider adding links to:
- Customer reviews
- Press coverage
- Blog posts
- Your newsletter sign-up page
- Your retail locations
- Your business’ story or founder’s bio
- Your contact information
- Marketplaces you sell on
For inspiration, take a look at the Linkpop for Pink House, which goes beyond the basics and gives customers a fuller picture of what the brand is all about.
Make those links pop
Let’s review by taking a look at one last example. This is the Linkpop for Station, a brand that makes cold brew and cold brew concentrate.
With Station’s link in bio profile, a potential customer can easily find (and in one place!) links for:
- Station’s social media profiles
- Top-selling products
- Station’s subscription service
- Where to buy at retail stores
- Information for new customers
Plus, it tells us that its link in bio built with Linkpop is having a positive impact on sales.
“Linkpop has become a must-have in all our bios for social—the added option to have product pictures has helped drive sales,” Station told us.
Using a link in bio tool puts your most important information in one place, and it can change as your business changes. You can reshuffle your links at any time or add new ones according to what’s selling, what’s trending, and what you want customers to see right now. By monitoring your analytics, you can strategically optimize as you go.
You’ve put time into growing your business across the web, and with a link in bio tool you can bring it all home.
