STEP ONE

Build a development store for your client

In the Shopify Partner Dashboard, you can create development stores which allow you to test any themes or apps you create, as well as set up new stores for your clients.

STEP TWO

Transfer the development store to your client

By June 30, 2025, the transfer must be done and your client must select a Basic, Shopify, Advanced, or Plus subscription plan.

STEP THREE

Store needs to remain active for at least 90 days

The store must remain active, not be password protected, and reach a minimum of $1000 USD in sales by September 30, 2025. See offer terms & conditions below for more details.

Yes. This offer is a one-time reward, and is applied on top of the 20% monthly recurring referral commission you earn through the Shopify Partner Program.
You can earn $250 USD for one eligible merchant referral. This is in addition to the standard 20% monthly referral commission.
In addition to transferring the store to your client, your client must select a subscription plan and make their first payment by June 30, 2025. Their store must be active, not password protected, and generate a minimum $1,000 USD in sales by September 30, 2025. See terms and conditions below.

Terms & Conditions

You’re eligible to receive a $250 USD reward for one (1) development store referral, after:

1. The store is built through a development store in the Shopify Partner Dashboard between April 22, 2025 and June 30, 2025.

2. Your client selects a qualifying subscription plan (Basic, Shopify, Advanced or Plus) and makes their first payment by June 30, 2025; and

3. The store must be set live, accessible, and not gated by a password, and must achieve a minimum of $1,000 USD in sales by September 30, 2025. Merchants must meet the minimum sales requirement of $1,000 USD, considering only trusted (non-fraudulent) payments that are processed through Shopify or its partners. This excludes cash payment methods, such as cash-on-delivery.

Additional Details

Eligible partners who meet all of the above criteria will automatically qualify to receive $250.00 USD paid out to their Shopify Partner Dashboard (in addition to the standard referral commission) if they make a development store referral between April 22, 2025 and June 30, 2025, and their referred merchant meets the required $1,000 USD sales minimum by September 30, 2025.

This promotion is exclusive to select, existing Shopify agency partners only. Only those partners who have received the offer communication directly from Shopify are eligible to participate. Promotion valid until 11:59 pm EST on June 30, 2025.

Please allow 2 - 4 weeks after September 30, 2025 for the payout to appear in your Partner Dashboard.

Self transfer or self referrals are not eligible for the offer.

This offer cannot be combined with other Shopify offers.
