Introduce your business and tell us your story: How did you decide on what to sell, and how did you source your products?
We saw an opening for watches that were elegant, with a trendy twist, in a price range that was affordable for everybody. We are a small design/motion agency and wanted to make our own product. We design all the parts from carefully chosen metal and leather parts. All the production is from China and thereafter hand assembled, finished, and packed in Denmark.
How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
We used our social media networks, especially Facebook. We also ran some Google Adwords ads. Today we mainly use Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Google Adwords. We do all we can to get some free PR in relevant magazines and blogs. This is absolutely the way to go for us.
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
We use the Printorder app to keep track of all orders. We pack and ship every order ourselves the same day we receive it.
What are your top recommendations for new store owners?
Just get started! Don't be scared to make mistakes; mistakes in the beginning are a must to succeed. And use Shopify and Google Analytics - it makes life easier :).
