Introduce your business and tell us your story: How did you decide on what to sell, and how did you source your products?
Bogart Menswear has been established for over 40 years in Northern Ireland. After several failed attempts with online sales we decided to invest time and effort into our online store. We carefully planned the product ranges we wanted to sell, discussed the overall design and scheduled a lookbook campaign to complement our website and provide bespoke images.
How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
Our first two weeks have been crazy. We have surpassed our original predictions and are delighted with how the online store is going. Shopify has been a fantastic platform to use and has made it very easy to link social media with our new store. We have found most of our referrals are coming mainly via Facebook, so we've begun carefully advertising with them.
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
Shipping and fulfillment is all done in-store by one staff member. We take time to wrap our parcels with brown paper and red twine, and package each with a 20% discount code for our customer's next visit. We use Shopify Order printer for inventory/stock control reasons and find it invaluable to our overall system.
