After you sign up, we will match you (based on your preferences) with prospects who are evaluating Shopify, other customers, with industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester, who want to learn more about your experience with Shopify. You'll also have the opportunity to get recruited for events, speaking slots, and media opportunities. If you have retail locations, we can also help set up store tours where you would share your Shopify experience IRL. We will always provide you with the opportunity details upfront and give you the chance to decline.

For each referral, you'll automatically receive Shop Cash or a gift voucher — valued anywhere from $40 to $250 — and, hopefully you'll make a valuable new connection with an industry peer along the way. We're also working on additional opportunities for top Champions, including exclusive events, product discussions, and more. Rewards and their value vary based on region, activity, and program guidelines.

You can choose to be contacted via phone, email, IRL, or all of the above. Becoming a Shopify Champion isn't just about providing a reference — it also gives you the chance to make new connections and network with peers. Your Customer Success Manager will make suggestions on how to best connect with each peer you are matched with.
