Our new Thinklabs One, which we launched on Shopify, is the world's smallest stethoscope and also the most powerful stethoscope. It's a high end product, built with luxury materials and sells at a premium price.
How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
We went live in January and doctors, nurses, medical students and vets started ordering. We have an existing customer base that knows our brand, word of mouth, and innovative medical professionals who search us out.
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
We set up our Shopify store in hours!!! It provides much of what we need, with built-in merchant and Paypal functionality. We've been so busy since we opened, we haven't spent much time exploring apps, nor have we needed to.
Our focus is on product quality and customer service first. We'll be linking Shopify to our accounting and shipping accounts as soon as we come up for air. We have what's known in business as "a good problem".
What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?
Make sure you have a good product, well presented, with good photography.
Focus on your customers - does your product meet their needs, do you give them a simple and clean shopping experience, do you communicate with them when they need support? It's all about the customer!
