How Trévi Drove 162% Revenue Growth by Unifying Retail and Legacy Systems on Shopify

Founded in 1972, Trévi has become one of Québec’s most established names in the pool, spa, and backyard living industry. With manufacturing operations, service teams, and nine physical retail locations, the brand operates a complex business model that blends product sales, long-term service contracts, and highly seasonal demand. Trévi prioritizes reliability, operational precision, and a consistent customer experience—whether customers engage online or in-store.

Over time, Trévi’s digital ecosystem struggled to support a consistent, cross-channel customer experience. Its Magento-based ecommerce platform, combined with decades of legacy systems, created fragmented data, slow promotion launches, and disconnected customer journeys. During peak season, these limitations meant lost agility, revenue pressure, and customer frustration.

Trévi chose Molsoft for its experience building unified commerce architectures on Shopify Plus and Shopify POS Pro, with a focus on connecting complex retail operations rather than executing a simple platform migration.

Since partnering with Molsoft and implementing Shopify Plus and POS, Trévi has achieved:

  • 162% revenue growth
  • 12% increase in average order value (AOV)
  • 47% increase in conversion rate

The Challenge: When Retail Complexity Demands More Than a Migration

For Trévi, replacing Magento was only part of the challenge. The business relied on multiple interconnected systems to manage products, inventory, service contracts, customer balances, and field operations. Any disruption risked operational issues across stores, warehouses, and service teams—especially during peak summer months.

Accurate data migration was non-negotiable. Product catalogs, multi-warehouse inventory, contract logic, and customer accounts all needed to remain synchronized in real time. Without real-time synchronization, Trévi faced concrete risks, including failed BOPIS orders, incorrect store-level stock visibility, and payment friction for customers managing contract balances—each with direct implications for revenue and trust.

Legacy workflows also slowed time-to-market. Launching promotions or adjusting pricing across channels required manual coordination between systems, limiting Trévi’s ability to respond quickly to demand spikes driven by weather, seasonality, or inventory availability. Customers, meanwhile, encountered friction when moving between online browsing, contract payments, and in-store transactions.

Shopify Plus, combined with Shopify POS Pro, offered a unified commerce operating system that consolidated online and in-store operations into a single backend. With centralized inventory, customer data, and payments—scalable across locations—the platform provided the control and flexibility Trévi needed to support growth without introducing additional complexity.

We are very pleased to have been able to rely on Molsoft’s expertise. The new website gave us the structure needed to propel our omnichannel growth. Customers now benefit from a smooth, frictionless experience, whether online or in-store.

The Solution: A Unified Commerce Architecture Built for Scale

Molsoft designed a unified commerce architecture with Shopify as the foundation, treating the platform as an operating system rather than a standalone storefront. The goal was to centralize commerce while preserving Trévi’s operational realities.

Shopify Plus became the hub for catalog management, promotions, checkout, and payments. In parallel, Molsoft deployed 35 Shopify POS Pro terminals across nine stores, ensuring real-time synchronization between online and in-store transactions. This eliminated channel silos and allowed customers to move seamlessly between digital and physical touchpoints without data inconsistencies.

Deep integrations connected Shopify with Trévi’s ERP and CRM systems. Product data, multi-warehouse inventory, bundles, and contract logic were synchronized to support accurate stock visibility and in-store balance payments. CRM integration extended Shopify Payments into customer portals, service transactions, and technician invoicing, with two-way data flow maintaining operational integrity across systems.

“Our approach was to give Trévi a unified commerce foundation without forcing them to compromise on how their business actually operates,” said Aebi. “Shopify Plus and POS allowed us to centralize commerce while still supporting complex contracts, service workflows, and in-store operations. The flexibility of the platform meant we could fine-tune logic where needed, while keeping day-to-day operations simple for teams on the ground.”

On the customer-facing side, Molsoft delivered a mobile-optimized Shopify Plus storefront with bilingual (FR/EN) support, streamlined checkout, conditional BOPIS workflows based on real-time stock availability, and improved product discovery through merchandising and engagement tools.

The Results: Measurable Growth Powered by Unified Commerce

The migration to Shopify Plus and POS delivered immediate, measurable impact. By unifying e-commerce and retail operations, Trévi recorded a 162% increase in revenue, a12% rise in average order value, and a 47% improvement in conversion rate between April and July 2025 compared to the previous year. These gains reflected faster promotion deployment, reduced friction across channels, and a more consistent customer journey.

Operationally, Trévi gained the agility needed to manage seasonality with confidence. Inventory accuracy improved across stores and warehouses, payments aligned seamlessly across online and in-store channels, and teams could launch campaigns without the bottlenecks imposed by legacy systems.

“The results exceeded our expectations. Unifying our online and in-store operations on Shopify has had a direct impact on revenue, conversion, and operational efficiency,” said Aebi. “More importantly, it’s given our teams the agility to respond to seasonal demand and better serve customers across every touchpoint.”

With a unified commerce foundation in place, Trévi is now positioned to expand omnichannel services, deepen in-store digital experiences, and scale its retail footprint without adding platform complexity—supporting sustainable growth well beyond peak season.
