- 1. Shopify Payments payouts are typically deposited into your Shopify Balance account within 1-3 business days, and no later than 5 business days. Payouts sent to an external bank account usually take over a week longer to process.
- 2. This is a reward provided by Shopify and is not interest. The rate is variable, subject to change without notice, and accurate as of May 8, 2026. The reward accrues daily, and is compounded and paid monthly in the form of a credit to your Balance account. ACH limits may apply. View Reward Terms. Stores on Shopify Plus are rewarded with 3.31%, and stores on Basic, Grow, and Advanced plans receive 2.29%.
- 3. Eligibility for Shopify Credit is primarily based on several factors, including your business's performance rather than your personal credit score. In some cases your business credit history might be reviewed.
- 4. "Cashback" refers to rewards earned as a percentage discount on eligible purchases. With Shopify Credit, earn 3% cashback as a statement credit on up to US$250,000 of annual eligible purchases in your monthly top spend category—either marketing, fulfillment, or wholesale, and 1% cashback thereafter. Earn 1% cashback on the other two spend categories. Restrictions apply. See Credit Rewards Program Terms for details. With Shopify Balance, earn up to $2,000 USD cashback on all eligible purchases per calendar year. This cashback limit may not apply to Shopify Partner offers. - 5. Shopify Balance has no monthly, annual, or ACH transfer fees. Shopify doesn't charge any ATM withdrawal fees, but you may be charged by an ATM provider.
- 6. ACH transfers initiated before 1:00 pm local time will be delivered on the same business day. Transfers sent after 1:00 pm arrive the next business day.
- 7. Shopify Balance accounts are eligible for FDIC pass-through deposit insurance if they meet certain requirements. The accounts are eligible only to the extent pass-through insurance is permitted by the rules and regulations of the FDIC, and if the requirements for pass-through insurance are satisfied. The FDIC insurance applies up to $250,000 USD per depositor, per financial institution, for deposits held in the same ownership category. Neither Stripe nor Shopify are an FDIC-insured institution and the FDIC's deposit insurance coverage only protects against the failure of an FDIC-insured depository institution.

- 10. Shopify Credit is a pay-in-full card. By default, you are opted in to paying your full statement balance by an automatic debit from your designated bank account within 1 month to avoid fees. You have the option to switch to making daily payments from your sales and take up to 10 months to pay your full statement balance, for a fee. If payment is not received in full within 10 months, a 2% monthly late fee will apply to your past-due balance.
- 11. Standard bank transfers (3-4 days processing) with Shopify Balance are free with Bill Pay. Faster transfers and other payment methods have associated fees. Learn more.
- 12. Shopify Credit is a pay-in-full card with automatic monthly bank account debits by default, or optional daily sales payments over up to 10 months for a fee. A 2% monthly late fee applies to any past-due balance not paid within the 10-month period.
