What is this charge for? — Shopify

Hello, you are probably here because you found a charge on your credit card and are wondering where it came from. Here we will attempt to help you solve the mystery.

Who is Shopify?

Shopify is the leading multi-channel commerce platform that powers millions of online stores around the world. Many of those stores use Shopify Payments to accept credit cards for their orders.

Why are you charging us?

Shopify charges a monthly fee for hosting.

Doesn’t ring a bell?

If the product names above don't ring a bell, you may want to ask around the office. Chances are that someone else at your company signed up for the product.

Can we get an invoice for the charges?

Every time we bill you we send an invoice to the email address you (or your co-worker) provided when you/they signed up. You can log into your account, click the "Settings" tab on the left hand sidebar and then on "Billing". Here you’ll see a list of all the invoices we’ve sent. You can also download PDF versions of the invoices for safe-keeping.

How do I cancel my account?

Easy, just log into your account, click the "Settings" tab on the left hand sidebar, then on "Account". From here you can click on the button to cancel your store. Once you’ve cancelled you won’t be charged again, but you are responsible for all previously incurred charges.

Can we get a refund?

Charges are non-refundable, but once you cancel you will never be charged again. We don’t have long-term contracts, lock-in, signup or termination fees. Just pay as you go and cancel when you’re done.
