LazyFruits is the collective brainchild of 2 likeminded individuals, challenging the age old adage "if you pay peanuts, you'll get monkeys." Firm believers of service excellence, superior quality and competitive pricing, LazyFruits aims to provide the mass market with quality which was only available to some.

As the name suggests, the concept of LazyFruits allows you, the consumer, to be as lazy as you like. Encompassing suggesting, selection and delivery, LazyFruits is just clicks away. We provide door to door delivery of orders, saving you the hassle of doing so.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

During its infancy, we made our fair share of mistakes. Due to the vastness of the world wide web, we underestimated the ability of the internet to complete overwhelm us. A month after setting up our website, a random check by one of our friends revealed that he had much difficulty locating our webpage via any of the major search engines. This was disastrous, as this would lower our exposure. Since then, we have been working hard using search engine optimisation, and continually try to improve our site.

Through the power of social media as our primary marketing tool we were essentially able to reach a larger audience via "likes" and connect on a real time basis via comments and chat. This allows us to streamline our response time and be more efficient and effective while providing our services.

Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

Fruits are updated according to the shipments that arrive at our cold store every day. Thanks to Shopify Mobile, this feature helps us a lot as we cannot always be at our desk to answer the incoming orders.

What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?

Be sincere, genuine and humble. Always listen to what your client wants, and be flexible. In the online marketplace, your reputation passes on like wildfire, be it good or bad. Conduct yourself accordingly and you will be rewarded accordingly.
